Established in July 2012 as the second campus of Sikkim Government College Tadong, SGC Burtuk emerged as an autonomous institution under Sikkim University on 12th August 2014. Nestled in Gangtok’s Balwakhani area, our 3.5-hectare campus occupies a historic gem: a 1960s heritage building commissioned by Sikkim’s last Chogyal (Maharaja). Perched atop a hill, the college offers breathtaking views of Gangtok city and the mighty Kanchendzonga range, creating an inspiring environment for learning.
